Eletrotec+EM-Power South America – The Exhibition for Electrical Infrastructure and Energy Management

Press Release – Monday, July 29, 2024

São Paulo, July 29, 2024: Eletrotec+EM-Power South America, The Exhibition for Electrical Infrastructure and Energy Management, will be held at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo on August 27–29. The exhibition & conference event focuses on technologies for electrical energy distribution as well as services and software solutions for energy management at grid, utility or building level.

Eletrotec+EM-Power South America brings together manufacturers, suppliers and service providers on smart grids, renewable energy integration, energy management, building automation, energy services for industrial and commercial facilities, and electrical engineering components and services.

The conference will cover updates on ABNT’s technical standards, case studies of electrical installations, as well as an overview of energy infrastructure solutions.

The program starts by anticipating trends in technical standards currently being drafted or revised, such as the one about incident energy on electric arcs. Next, a full day exclusively dedicated to the topic of lightning protection: isolated and non-isolated systems will be compared as to their protection capabilities, and there will be a discussion on remote monitoring of surge protection prevention in open areas, as well as accidents with non-connecting leaders.

One of the other installation topics will highlight BIPV photovoltaic applications – a technology that is still in its early stages in Brazil –,computer vision of electrical systems, fatal accidents caused by electric shock in residences, and the importance of installation records required by regulations. The topic closing the conference will be the maintenance practice of a large energy storage system, a highly promising area for ensuring the stability of a power system.

Eletrotec+EM-Power South America will be held in parallel with Intersolar South America, ees South America e Power2Drive South America. These are the four exhibitions and conferences that make up The smarter E South America.

Registration for visiting the exhibitions free of charge ends on 26 August. For more information and details on pricing, please visit https://www.empower-southamerica.com.br/tickets .
