Professor at DEE/UFC and GPEC, in the areas of power electronics, electrical machines and renewable sources. He did post-doctoral work at Fraunhofer IEE (Germany) and is currently a visiting professor at TH-Köln in Cologne. He was coordinator of PPGEE/UFC, president of SOBRAEP and Chief Energy Scientist at FUNCAP.
