LV & MV Electrical Installations II: Electrical Installation Records as a Tool for Efficiency and Safety

Electrical Engineer, specialist in Photovoltaic Solar Energy Projects in MMGD and self-production. He has developed more than 500MW of projects for Parecer de Acesso in 24 concessionaires across the country. He actively participated in the ABNT commission that developed NBR 16690. He has been a speaker at the main events in the solar energy sector and a course instructor in the area of solar energy electrical installations, having trained more than 600 technical and engineering professionals. He is currently President of Abracopel, a board member of ABGD and Technical Director of Sindistal-RJ.

He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from UFU and a master's degree in Electronic Engineering from ITA. He founded Mi Omega in October 1993 and has been at the forefront of the company's technical solutions ever since. He has been a member of the ABNT commission responsible for revising standard NBR 5410 - Low-voltage electrical installations since 1993, coordinator of the ABNT commission responsible for revising standard NBR 14039 - Medium-voltage electrical installations since 2003, member of the NBR 16384 - Safety in Electricity commission in 2020, member of the NBR 16690 - Electrical Installations of Photovoltaic Arrangements commission since its inception and member of NBR 15751 - Substation Grounding Systems - Requirements. Currently, as well as heading up Mi Omega, he also teaches courses at the Mi Omega Institute and has over 40 years' experience in the electrical sector.

- Electrical Engineer from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (1980); - Member of ABNT's Brazilian Electricity Committee since 1986, with participation in various committees; - Pedagogical Director and Professor at Universidade Potência Educação; - In 2014, he received the Engineering Merit Diploma from CREA-SP, Architecture and Agronomy of São Paulo; - Lecturer and author of books and articles on electrical engineering.

Marcos Rogério Chaves da Silva is an Electrical Engineer (UMC), with an MBA in Business Management and a Specialization in Project Management, both from FGV-SP. For four decades he has been working on LV and MV power protection systems, and has experience in developing distributed power generation projects for terrestrial and embedded applications, LV and MV protection and selectivity studies and protection against the effects of incident energy emitted by arc faults. He is currently Director of TECPRO Soluções em Energia. He actively participates in various committees of CB-03 at COBEI - Comite Brasileiro de Eletricidade. He is secretary of the NBR 14039 standard revision committee, secretary of the NBR 16384 revision committee and rapporteur of the WG responsible for the future Incident Energy Management standard. At CB-24 ABNT, he is the Coordinator of the Committee responsible for developing the future technical standard 'Fire safety in photovoltaic installations'. He is Brazil's representative on IEC committees PC128 and TC99.
